I have tried everything listed above as well from other web sites but it only works for a bit! Fresh install of Windows 7 64 retail. and when you called Microsoft, THEY said its the Manufacturer's fault, call them! 2 months later the ONE with the least amount of money seemed to have to fix the problem? my point? Next time EVENBALANCE wants to add their punkbuster support to a game, dont BUY it. I shouldnt be mad I guess, Remeber when service pack 2 for windows xp came out and ALL your printers and scanners QUIT working, and when you called the Manufacturer of your printer, they said its Microsoft's fault call them. Then I Figured out a fix!!!!! I UNINSTALLED WINDOWS 7, Re-installed WINDOWS XP PRO and everything works fine! Sorry to waste your time, but it makes me sick that I had to be FORCED into something when WE pay the programmers wages and the "HELP" that we get is to be told "we're blowing you off, its not our fault!". (that was 2 or more months ago) emailed evenbalance, got the standard "we dont care, we dont support beta products." reply. The game ran just as smooth (dont laugh) as it did with my copy of windows xp installed.(same frame rates etc.) Just like everyone else on this forum I got kicked by PunkBuster after a few minutes (5 or so.) I searched the internet for 3 hours for a fix, patch, blah blah blah. I connected to my favorite server, and started playing. (I made sure to copy my COD4 player profile over b4 I started it.) I didnt change any of the gfx settings from my old profile either. Crossed my fingers and smiled, click on the COD4 MP icon, and expected to see it either crash windows itself or just plain give me some kind of error! Low and behold, that didnt happen, it actually STARTED and ran fine. Once Win 7 appeared to work correctly I installled NOD32, and then Call Of Duty 4 (with ALL the latest patches for COD4).

Even my AC'97 sound (on motherboard) worked fine! The drivers were NOT at all hard to find. (msi 6570 MB,2GB pc3200 RAM,MSI AGP NX6600GT,Adaptec 1205SA SATA PCI CARD,(3) WD 80GB HDD's, Antec 550 watt PSU.) Installed it on the 1st try without any hitches at all, which almost made me impressed.(something work like it says its supposed to?Wow).

I downloaded windows 7 BETA BUILD 7000, for my old pile of dirt 32 bit machine. I can't get it to run and unless someone comes up with the most ingenious fix ever I'm afraid we're stuck with these problems until Windows 7 goes live.
Ran the A and B services with 'Allow service to interact with desktop' enabled Ran the A and B services under different compatibility modes (XP/Vista) and as an administrator Ran Enemy Territory in XP and Vista compatibility mode to try the different fs_homepath entries

Used PBSETUP.exe from the Evenbalance website to update the Enemy Territory PB files. The installer even ran a few tests and indicated that everything worked just fine. Used PBSVC.exe from the Evenbalance website to install all the services. Removed all the PunkBuster services, files and registry entries I've also dug around on different fora and tried the following things. A random number of minutes later I get kicked for PnkBstrB initialization.
The PnkBstrB service only starts on a fresh boot and crashes as soon as I join a server. Unfortunately my apparent fix for Enemy Territory didn't last long either. Manually stopping PnkBstrB FAILED - no handle
